Cedric Janes is a top auto professional that brings over two decades of experience in customer services to RuthHaze Foundation. Cedric was elected as Vice President for the 2022-2022 board term. He currently serves as one of the top Pre-Owned Salesman at Chris Nikel Chrysler in Broken Arrow, OK.
Along with Darrien, he shapes and approves the foundation’s strategies, reviews results, and sets the overall direction of the organization. Together, they strive to eradicate hunger one community at a time. Cedric strongly believes in treating others as he would want to be treated. Through his work at the foundation for the past three years, Cedric has seen first-hand how empowering the people can bring transformational improvement in the prosperity of communities and families.
Cedric is a single father who lives with his son in Tulsa, OK. In his spare time, he loves to go fishing and supporting his favorite football team, Kansas City Chiefs.
Shemitria Smith is a development professional that brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit advancement services to RuthHaze Foundation. Shemitria was elected as Chief Financial Officer for the 2020-2022 board term. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Advancement Operations at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. She has also served as an independent consultant for nonprofit organizations.
Shemitria truly believes that it is our mission to serve. In her heart, she acknowledges that in a world full of hate and demise, the easiest thing we can do is love and help – through whatever service we ourselves can freely offer. Her philosophy is that even without money, we all can do something. While beginning her nonprofit journey at the Atlanta Humane Society, Shemitria learned early on how to put the pieces of the puzzle together to solve problems through data stewardship, management and enrichment, as well as, database organization.
Shemitria is the Founder & CEO of The Visionary Associates, a company that specializes in helping people find their passion through self-development. Many clients have self-benefited from her vision board workshops. Shemitria holds a Masters of Education in Organizational Leadership from American InterContinental University. She has also taken Executive Programs offered by the Harvard Business School.
Shemitria enjoys her quiet time and usually loves to spend her down time with a good book and a nice glass of wine (preferably with the ocean as her background)!
Guamtri Blakes is a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist that brings over two decades of customer service experience to RuthHaze Foundation. Guamtri was elected as Sectary for the 2020-2022 board term. She currently serves as the Lead Medical Billing and Coding Specialist of Northwest Arkansas Urology Associates in Springdale, AR. She also served as an administrative assistant for an independent consultant for nonprofit organizations.
Guamtri strives to help someone on a daily basis. The world today is full of hate and despair, given the opportunity to make someone else’s day better, puts a smile on her heart. Guamtri’s philosophy is simple when you give of yourself you never know what an impact you can make on someone’s life.
Guamtri is a native of Shreveport, LA and she enjoys cheering her Saints on. In her spare time, she can be found cuddled up with a good book or spending time with her grandchildren.
No stranger to customer service, Jerrell Wofford brings over 40 years’ experience from the hospitality industry. From being a Regional to General Manager for multiple organizations, Jerrell knows what it means to serve. Now a successful entrepreneur, Jerrell is working on building his transportation logistics business to include senior care services.
Jerrell studied Associates of Applied Science at Phillips Junior College and plan on completing his Bachelor’s degree before the end of 2021.
When asked to be on the RuthHaze Foundation board, he quickly put his customer service hat on and got to work on spreading the word. His favorite motto is, “Let me know if you need something.” He never meets a stranger and can strike up a conversation with anyone.
In his spare time, Jerrell enjoys spending time with his wife, Rosemary, and is an avid lover of sports. The ever family man, he loves being a father and grandfather to his tribe.
